The Teams experience was seamless and effective for this technical course. The screen sharing was clear, making it easy to follow the instructor’s demonstrations and diagrams. While remote learning can sometimes feel disconnected, the instructor’s interactive teaching style and the well-structured hands-on labs kept me engaged throughout. Being able to print hard copies will also be of value down the line.
Learning Entra Connect as a team over Teams created valuable opportunities for collaborative problem-solving. When colleagues raised questions about our specific environment scenarios, the instructor provided tailored guidance that benefited the whole group (I personally caught things I missed even when successfully having completed steps). This was by far the best remote/video course I have ever taken. Good combination of labs, instructor lead lectures, recorded lectures and written material.
This is a well-refined course that provides three full days of instruction. As a consultant, there was not a scenario left unexplored. Every scenario and question I had was answered within the training. If you don’t have the opportunity to attend in person, definitely take advantage of the self-paced training.
This is truly a Masterclass. Unlike so many other classes, you will be pushed to complete the labs in the allotted time. Some of the steps walk you through click by click, but most expect you to understand what you are looking at and what is needed to get to the next step.
Paul, the instructor, is superb. His professional experience and his training ability make for an informative, practical course that lets you come away from it being able to immediately apply the knowledge. Most of our customers don’t need the advanced capabilities but understanding how everything works, and the capabilities to look closer at the configurations and issues, has provided me with stronger skillset to make sure our customers are properly configured and troubleshoot the issues quicker.

I had a very good experience learning remotely online via Teams. Up until recently I had some objections to online training. In fact, I had even turned down some training offers in the past because they were not classroom-based. I have to admit was completely misguided as they are as good as being classroom-based, which are very rare nowadays. This remote training worked well for me, and I have done both the self-paced and live sessions with OCT.

In many ways learning online, self-paced was better than an in-person class, because I could review modules as I needed to as well as slow my pace during labs – thus achieving better retention. There was zero impact to my scheduled meetings, and work provided for a fluid progression of learning without scheduling conflicts which allowed for a flexible and relaxed timetable.

Attending training remotely online is the future for technology training. The students don’t have the overhead of travel, and out-of-their-environment, giving them the ability to focus on the course, and not be distracted about travel. Highly recommend. I believe this is the “go to” future for training. This course was covered extremely well, and I don’t believe it could have been improved upon.
Excellent presentation of the concepts and reinforcement of core principles throughout the course. The instructor was always helpful and answered all questions. The labs were very good.
Both the course content and the instructor were very good. The way the labs and lectures were constructed made sure that we were glued to the contents every day! Attending the training remotely was great. The Teams call was seamless, and we didn’t have a single glitch for all those hours.
We had a private custom course in Azure AD and Azure AD Connect. Both the course material and, more importantly the instructor, Paul, made it easy to stay engaged. The labs were excellent and made it easy to learn and understand Azure AD Connect and Azure AD administration.
I am an app developer to support MIM. I use ECMA and I found that the instructor is very experienced in this and the course is informative. It gives extensive coverage of what MIM can do. It is a great exposure to me.

Paul the instructor was extremely precise, prompt, and knowledgeable. There was not a question he couldn’t answer! An intense, in-depth course. Paul the instructor knows the content inside-out and provides excellent examples and explanations of every element of MIM covered. Personally, I prefer in-classroom learning, but due to the pandemic situation I appreciate that it is not possible. All the content was thorough and well explained.

I found the course great. It provided clear and concise information while letting me have a hands-on approach with the use of the VMs. Learning online self-paced worked well for me as most of the time I studied this course outside of work hours. It allowed me to go back to previous modules that I needed to work on more. As MIM can get quite complicated with many “moving parts” at times, the images created to explain certain processes and information were incredibly helpful.
The course was logically organized for real-world examples, and insights from the instructor, Paul, made that more applicable to our environments. Paul was always available for questions and assistance in the labs with clear and concise explanations for whatever arose in the class. Learning remotely was seamless and there were no distractions of a in-person class. This allowed focused concentration.

When I was enrolled in the course I was afraid of not learning due to language, but the instructor Paul was generous and patiently explained. After a year of pandemic, studying remotely via Teams works well.

I liked learning remotely by Teams better than classroom courses – if anything, it was better online, since conversation between trainees is limited. For me the course was just perfect.
The training was an excellent opportunity to hear, learn and even have a hands on experience with MIM. The instructor, Mr Captainino, is an excellent teacher. His preparation for the course was outstanding. His knowledge on the subject is of a depth I could only admire. His capacity to keep us concentrated on the subject even if not in the same classroom, was remarkable. It was amazing to experience online training at this level.

Very pleased with course. As someone who hadn’t even heard of MIM several weeks ago, I feel like I now know my way around enough to begin learning more how MIM at my company is implemented. The self-paced learning was particularly beneficial to someone like myself with no background. I was able to read through each lesson prior to listening to it, and then re-play sections as needed.
The quality of information was amazing and it gave me a deeper understanding about MIM. Paul did a great job in teaching all things!

The course is fast-paced as there is a lot of material to cover, but the instructor, Paul, has been exemplary in tackling this challenge and successfully explained the underlining flows of information, showed practical examples and assisted with lab materials when required. Learning online, self-paced was a good experience as it allowed me to attend a course most of the time, but not be completely offline. The content of the lessons is explained in a very good way without the need of reading too much in the manual.

I can’t recommend Paul highly enough as an instructor. He has an incredible grasp on the more complicated concepts in the product, and his experience shows in his delivery of the information. I don’t think there’s any one concept that I didn’t understand how to use as an expert would.
I recommend learning live via Teams. It gave me plenty of time to stare-and-compare details in the lab environment to my own production and dev environments.

The self-paced online Azure AD Connect Masterclass is a really great option for those who cannot spare the time to attend a traditional classroom style course. I have been dipping in and out of the course material for the last few months now and re-capping on certain aspects of the course.
The great thing about this option is it saved me from having to rely on using my own personal notes. The course content was spot on and a great eye opener into the mechanics behind how the AAD Connect tool works. Anyone who uses this tool would benefit from this course.
Lastly, there were two instructors who delivered the content. Both were very knowledgeable on their subject areas. I will look forward to seeing some of the new material that OCT release!

The MIM Advanced course provides great information on how to further configure MIM using either the MIM portal or the MIM service. Both of these are very beneficial to my new position since we will be working on enhancing and maintaining our MIM services.

We are looking at implementing MIM and we needed to get some more knowledge in-house. So my UK colleague Googled ‘MIM training’ and found you and here we are together training this week.
I was really confused at first about how MIM synchronization works, and being on this course helped me understand in which order things are synchronized, what the difference with exports, delta import, full import – those sorts of things. It’s been really an eye-opener.

One of our partners had done this MIM training in Oxford, and he suggested I should come here, to the source of the expertise, to be explained in detail how MIM works. It’s a difficult system to understand how it works. The instructor is a very experienced guy, there is so much material to get through. He’s joking sometimes and showing explanations very well – an excellent lecturer. I have learned so much I can carry into our MIM project. It’s a very worthwhile course.

Although I have spent some time working with Azure AD Connect in certain scenarios, I found it extremely useful to look at and find out about other features in Azure AD Connect that I haven’t used before. Lots of useful extra info as well, even in the areas that I thought I already knew!It was quite straightforward to use the online presentations and tutorials. The labs were good and all worked for me as described in the notes and demos.

The course manual and lab guides are first class. The lectures and demos are very instructive and pitch just the right amount of detail. The instructor’s style of delivery is very relaxed and you can tell he is a master of MIM. I liked where he advised where something wasn’t practical, or bad design and not just following the Microsoft line when teaching the course. I recommend this course very highly.
Initially, I had reservations about learning online, self-paced, but the quality of the lectures, demos, manuals, lab guides and tests were so good, there was no feeling of being swamped. You can also pause the lecture and google the concept you’re at if you are not sure about something.
I can’t think of any ways in which this course could be improved, which is credit in itself!

The instructor was extremely knowledgeable about MIM and how to approach its use in a real world deployment. He did a remarkable job of demonstrating multiple, serial steps necessary to implement integrated MA and portal policies at the rapid pace necessary to cover capabilities of the product.
The private classroom setting made it much easier for class participants to focus on MIM for the duration of the class. It enabled us to cover advanced topics and stay engaged. The private class made it possible to have side conversations and identify one or more approaches for solving the challenges and problems that we have observed in our organization’s MIM deployment.

By far one of the greatest training courses I have ever experienced. With a topic as deep and as wide as MIM, this course covers everything you need to know to get started with the product.
Initially, MIM is quite difficult to grasp due to a lack of clarity in most of the public documentation. This course absolutely, 100%, solves that problem and then some. Everything is organized in a clear and concise manner in the videos, and the labs are structured in such a way that they parallel real-world implementations and business needs specifically.
The experience of learning online, self-paced was fantastic. The pacing was just right and the labs were very accessible.

Overall this is one of the better-run courses I’ve taken, online or in-person. I liked the format of the course, matching a typical Microsoft class with lectures and labs. I actually found the quizzes and exam very helpful. They were actually pretty challenging and got into the details, which is unusual for an on-line course in my experience.
Andi was my tutor and her responses via email were prompt and on-target. The questions that came to mind as I watched the presentations were answered by the time I finished the course.Doing the course online was only way I could have taken the class. Being self-paced made it easier for me to schedule the training during a quieter period at the office, and to fit it around a one-day conference I had to attend this week.

The overall training experience was good. There was a slight issue with the connection on the last day, but this was sorted very quickly by the Oxford Computer Training support team.

This was a well-rounded intermediate course (even without having taken the MIM Foundation course). I would strongly advise other online learning participants to watch the video lectures, as they offer more insight than what is in the manual.
I very much appreciated that the course is offered online, since I could complete it on my own time. The pace of the videos is appropriate to the material, and naturally you can re-read or re-watch any sections which required clarification.

This online, self-paced MIM course was well-presented and structured in a logical way. It was very easy to do modules one at a time working around a busy schedule!
The MIM Foundation online course was more dense and fact-filled that I could consume in three days. I actually took five days to complete the modules. I was able to complete the training without much, if any, assistance from my online instructor, Andi, but I appreciate that the resource provided.
This was an online self-paced course, and the material and course layout were well presented in way that met my learning goals and style. The experience was great – self-study/paced courses have always worked well for me, especially in situations where I already have some knowledge of the course and just need to focus on specific concepts.

The Azure AD Connect Masterclass goes into great detail about Azure AD Connect, and this information is not found anywhere in the Microsoft documentation that I have seen so far. Through the access that OCG has with Microsoft, the Masterclass goes to the bones of AAD Connect and gives you great insight into what’s going on underneath.
I have used this product for a while, but there are some things I do where I don’t really have a good understanding of what’s going on. But this class makes it clear.
The instructor, Hugh, is very good – he has great insight, and hands-on experience. The way he explains it you know he’s been in identity management for a long time. He has a great understanding of the product.
This course will help me in a lot of ways – the most important being what I should and should NOT do, disaster recovery and so on. The class goes in to great detail about what to avoid doing so that I don’t get trapped later on… an insight into the future.

It was a great course and I liked both the depth and breadth of coverage through a mix of instructor-led sessions followed by hands-on labs. It really solidified my understanding of AADConnect, how customers use it and what are some of the common issues they run into.
The instructor, Hugh, did an excellent job through all 3 days of the Masterclass. He is very knowledgeable and what I liked was how he was doing the hands-on labs along with us and helping us patiently with the issues.

The way the course material was presented meant that the notes weren’t really referred to [during the class] except for the labs – which is good as it wasn’t ‘death by PowerPoint’.

I was very impressed with the quick setup and guidance with the technical process for getting started. The course itself is very well organized and the presenter did a wonderful job explaining what was important, the differences between FIM/MIM (my organization is running FIM, but plan to upgrade to MIM, so this was very useful), and explaining that certain concepts which may or may not be important, were beyond the scope of the course.
I thought the lab setup was an excellent touch, though I must admit that in the interest of time, I ended up relying on the demos, since I found that they covered the same material as the labs. I still intend to go back and complete labs that I did not do, but I wanted to be sure to get through the training material within the time I had available.
Learning online self-paced worked really well for me as a busy mum of three kids, and my tutor was responsive and helpful.

I’ve been a MIM administrator for several years, but only really work in the production environment so there’s not a lot of opportunity to really dig into it. This is the first formal training I’ve ever had and Paul [the instructor] connected a lot of dots for me and gave me quite a few “Aha!” moments.

One of the best external trainings I have ever had. The course materials were very easy to understand and the instructor gave us pictorial representation of everything descriptive in each module which helped a lot to depict the concepts in our brain.

In the past I’ve used Azure AD Connect to do really basic installations for customers, but going on the Masterclass has shown me the possibilities of doing larger scale implementations. It’s shown me some really exciting concepts.

The hands-on labs have been really good, and there were some real light bulb moments for me on the course. One of the biggest eye-openers was how you deploy your infrastructure. Before I went on the Masterclass, I had a concept in my mind of how we would do it, but that’s been turned on its head by this Azure AD Connect course!

I studied online at my own pace and that worked out fine for me. I could schedule some learning in the weekends or evenings if I was too busy at work to do so. The courses were clear and there was a lot of things to learn by yourself in the labs.

The training ‘virtual environment’ was error free and easy to manipulate and, unlike most advanced courses did not require intervention from the instructor. He was willing to go the extra mile to find out answers he did not know right away, he even took the time to consult with other professionals at Oxford on a few questions. The instructor, Paul, was great. Very informative. Our morning ‘Brain Storms’ were good. Well structured labs with loads of information. Sometimes too much at one go to retain, but the lab work helped in retaining this knowledge. Best way of learning.
The lessons were well explained and easy to understand. I did enjoy the labs and the lab manual was very good at explaining not just how but why the labs were done a certain way.
I have taken many courses online over the years and this has been one of the better ones. I really appreciate how quickly your customer support contacted me when I had an issue getting registered for the class.

Being able to study at my own pace helped me take the MIM Foundation course in manageable chunks. The explanations and diagrams in the materials booklet helped me visualize the complex mechanics of MIM and what was going on. The instructor was clear and precise. The labs were helpful too in that I could experiment with various configurations.
A great course for those who haven’t looked at MIM before. You get a great overview at your own pace.

The training was very thorough and covered many scenarios that a FIM/MIM implementation would address. The tutors were knowledgeable and responded quickly. Studying at my own pace proved useful in the fact that I could spend more time on unfamiliar, difficult, or important subjects.
Working online at my own pace works for me. I’m able to stop, pause, rewind, etc. It allows me the flexibility to work in my off hours, and not take time away from the office to come in person for the course.

I attended the training remotely in a live online environment. The course met my expectations. I enjoyed the fact that each lab was built on the previous lab, with the option of loading a snapshotted VM if you were behind or missed a configuration. The instructor was always available to answer questions.
A very positive experience… good head start. Paul, the instructor, had a firm grasp of the MIM application and was able to keep all students engaged over Skype.

I enjoyed working at my own pace and being able to go over certain sections again that I didn’t understand initially. I liked the convenience of not having to travel for this training and the flexibility of being able to study either in the office or at home. My only difficulty was completing the training alongside my busy day job and trying to make time for it.

Excellent. Very happy with the training. Course work was well managed and easy to follow. The course took place in a conference room at a golf club instead of an office. This was a good idea and made a pleasant atmosphere.
This was the first time I’d followed a self-paced online training course and I must say I was very pleased with the quality of the material. The course is well-structured and it was easy to plan the training in different sessions and days to fit my agenda.
I started by working my way through the written manual and lab course material. After a couple of modules I decided to check out the videos, and I am very happy I did. The rest of the course I watched all the videoed lessons. I also starting watching the lab videos which gave a much richer explanation of the labs compared to the written lab instructions. The voice of the tutor was reassuring, and I liked how he explained things. I liked how the course built up with the various modules, to understand the key elements of the product.
This course has given me a great foundation to get started with MIM and I am now well prepared to learn a lot more about the product in the future.
Just as with both the MIM Foundation and MIM Advanced courses, this was great – by far one of the best courses I have ever attended! I’ve learned so much about the possibilities in MIM, and I am looking forward to putting my new knowledge into practice in our MIM projects. The course is essential for MIM developers. It covers areas that should be taught in Microsoft’s courses, which I have taken, but are left out.
This was, by FAR, the best training I’ve received in years! I loved how ‘lab heavy’ the course was. I learned so much from working through the labs.
The instructor’s training style was perfect. He didn’t just read from decks, he whiteboarded. He took the time to answer all questions in detail, demonstrating a staggering understanding of the subject matter. The classroom course was good, just a small group of colleagues and a professional teacher. Good theory with good labs. It was very nice to have Paul as a teacher. He’s a real professional but also very good at making me laugh, it’s a pleasure listening to him talking. Sometimes a little too much text because this is not my native language!
The training materials were professional and clear. When you are able to take an online course and not think about the mechanics of the delivery until after the course, when you’re asked for an evaluation – that’s a good indicator of quality.

It’s almost not possible to use MIM without this course. The 4 days are very intensive but worth it. MIM is very complex. The teacher is able to tell a lot complex stuff in a pleasant way. A good story teller!
The most relevant course I have attended in ages! The tutor really knew his stuff, didn’t just learn the script. Answered every question! Very good foundation for a tricky subject.
It was really easy to use the labs, exercises and pdfs remotely. The connection worked well, very doable with a remote connection. I don’t feel like I missed anything by not being able to attend in person. The instructor was a really clear speaker, very strong on MIM, good at teaching and supporting.
Brilliant course format. It worked out great. I am doing the course at the same time as a co-worker, and this allows us to help each other when there is something we do not understand and discuss how things relates to our environment. Your staff in general are very attentive. I am impressed by your quick response times on all types of requests. I requested lab access late at night on a Sunday, to have it ready the next morning, but to my astonishment, it was ready an hour later. Way to go!
With a significant PAM project coming up it was critical that I skilled up in this space and OCG has provided me with all the knowledge I need to manage that and also some great ideas for how I might tailor PAM for my particular environment.
Paul (the tutor) was very knowledgeable and spoke in an engaging way throughout the course. It was a lot of information to convey and he presented it at a good pace. The remote training environment worked well.
Very hands-on, easy to follow. Doing the course at my own pace was a double-edged sword, since I procrastinated a lot, but it allowed me to work over a lot of days, which was nice. The videos were separated into manageable portions (not too long).
I was a bit skeptical about the online format, as was my superiors, but in retrospect it worked out great. It was good to pause the video to take notes, ponder and look at my production. The training videos and courseware are exquisite pieces of work, in themselves worth the price of admission. The environment vastly enriches the experience, without resulting in me zoning out and missing an important section of the course. It also leaves ample room for reflection, and I guess I cannot blame the course for me playing with labs till very late at night! I am doing the advanced course next, and I will definitely schedule more time for that run.
Fantastic! The environment with a small number of trainees was the best experience for the hands-on approach to labs, and an opportunity to ask many questions about real-world implementations and challenges. The instructor was very friendly, informative and approachable to discuss particular issues in your particular live environment. Having attended all three FIM courses with OCG I am more confident on the product in its entirety. The trainers are much experienced in all aspects, and posses extraordinary skills on the product in the real world.
Initially, I was hesitant about doing the course remotely, but I would have no concerns now. I was in Pacific time, other students were in EST zone and the instructor was in the UK, and everything worked great!

Paul is a natural teacher. He is articulate and knowledgeable. I especially liked how he seemed to intuitively anticipate what questions may arise. The training course covered a lot of material that was very helpful to better understand the product and be able to present it to Senior Management and describe the functionality. The labs made it very easy to follow and understand exactly what they were doing and how FIM works. I learned relevant new skills and the ‘hands on’ makes the recall better when I implement this in the future – the solving of unexpected problems has to be hands on to work. This course is highest industry level for learning with valuable hands on lab.
I am a medium experienced FIM person. This course gave me a lot of technical depth, it gave me a lot of answers to why particular things are done in a particular way. It also helped me better understand the classic rules that I had inherited from a Microsoft Consultant and knew how to modify, but this gave me a whole new perspective. OCG’s courses are excellent at explaining how to implement and maintain the product. That their knowledge is clearly based on real world experience will prove to be very useful to me in my work.
We were very impressed with the depth of experience and knowledge the instructor had. He actually had more experience than the consultants we engaged to actually run our project! Since our instructor had a decade long background as an IAM consultant, he was able to answer our deep technical questions and talk at length about the product architecture as it related to our environment.
Let’s just say: we got more than our money’s worth!
We decided to opt for the private on-site course because not only was it cheaper, it allowed us to take the time and ask environment specific questions about MIM and our unique installation. This was invaluable to our learning experience.
The course materials were well written, logical and helpful. We are still referring to them. This training helped prepare us for our long and complex MIM project, we could NOT have succeeded without it! If any company is considering MIM, you do not want to proceed without world class training… this is what makes or breaks IAM departments.

Very good structure, starting with overview and expanding topics. Language (balance of formal and informal) was better than any other course I have been on and very understandable. From previous experience of OCG, I had high expectations, which were fully met.
