A comfortable MIM and Azure training experience in Oxford, UK – hotels and transport

The best of both worlds – combine the pleasures of evenings out when you stay in Oxford with learning at a quiet venue in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Michael, an IT Support Supervisor from Norway, said:

Location was relaxing and a great environment for learning.

The conference room at Studley Wood is a comfortable, peaceful place to study.

We run 99% of all our public, instructor-led training courses in MIM and Azure AD in the UK from the spacious and comfortable conference room at Studley Wood Golf Club. The prestigious Oxfordshire golf venue is a peaceful country oasis, just 4 miles from the bustle of Oxford city centre. It’s very close to our headquarters, and our staff will come to greet you on the first day of your course as you settle in. Parking at Studley Wood is free.

Thoroughly enjoyed this class. A good mix of lectures, labs and banter.  Classroom and facilities were great, with a nice selection of drinks.

Lunch and refreshments included

Instructor Paul Captainino loves the coffee machine, and so will you!

You will enjoy hot drinks and pastries every morning, and beverages and biscuits throughout the day. There is a coffee machine in the classroom, so help yourself at any time. In the morning, you’ll be asked to choose your lunch from the menu – it can be hot or cold. Chef will freshly prepare it for you on the premises, and it will be served promptly at lunchtime in the restaurant.

Matthew, a UK Senior Technical Specialist, said:

The classroom was very good and has all the equipment needed. The food provided was great.

Equipment provided

All the equipment you need for your training will be ready for you.

Each student has the use of a machine with a screen, keyboard and mouse, which our staff will have prepared for you in advance with everything you need to do the course. You may bring your own laptop, but you won’t need it for the course itself. WiFi is available throughout the golf club.

Paul, a UK Infrastructure Technician, said:

The classroom was well set out and the food excellent.

Where to stay?

Many of our students stay at the comfortable Holiday Inn at the Pear Tree Interchange, or at the international class hotel Jury’s Inn at the Wolvercote roundabout. Both are close to each other in north Oxford just off the A34/A40. Once your place on our course is confirmed, you will be provided with a code with which you can get discounted rates at these hotels. Other guest houses and bed and breakfasts are available locally, including the Best Western at Magnolia Park, just 3 miles away in the countryside. Parking is free for guests at Holiday Inn and Jury’s Inn.

Transport to and from Studley Wood

Our training venue at Studley Wood Golf Club is in a rural location and wherever you are staying you need to think about transport. If you have your own car – great – but if not, taxis may cost £40 to £60 for a return trip. Alternatively we can organize a private transport service which costs £20 a day, which you pay directly to Studley Wood Golf Club. Each morning we will pick you up from the car park at Jury’s Inn, and take you back there at the end of the training day. To use this service please email us at learning@oxfordcomputertraining.com in advance, so that we can organize the transport and reserve your place. We will confirm the arrangements with you via email. If you’re staying at the Holiday Inn, you can also book this service as Jury’s Inn is only a 5 minute walk.
