What is Microsoft Entra Application Provisioning?

Microsoft Entra application provisioning refers to the automatic creation of accounts or user identities, and sometimes roles, in various applications that users need access to.

The breadth of features offered depends very much on the application concerned and may extend to maintenance (i.e. flowing attribute changes), removal (de-provisioning), change of status or role – and so on.

Put in more general terms, it is about integrating applications with Microsoft Entra ID. The gallery of applications supported is huge (1000s) and growing.
